Description

Overview

JCPenney (JCP) is a company that encourages and pushes for innovation within there shopping experience. One of the projects I concept while at JCP was to evaluate and determine solutions for helping customers shop during the busy Holiday season.

One-Stop Shopping

The One-Stop Shopping Experience gives customers much more flexibility and friend for of shopping. Customers can use a stand-alone FindMore system in malls to buy products and gifts during the holiday season. Also, since not all malls have a JCPenney, FindMores can be setup in malls to increase seasonal sales beyond their established stores.• Users can use a stand alone FindMore system in malls to buy products and gifts during the holiday season. Also located in malls that do not have a JCPenney on location to increase sales

• Purchsed items can be picked up at JCPenney store or shipped for free

• In minutes a gift can be found, paid for and shipped with out customer ever having to take physical possession of the product

• Findmore extends the store to the customer outside of the website and the store

• Wrapping while you wait

• No need to wait in long lines during the busy Holiday shopping season

Holiday Wishlist

I decided to create a multi-platform system that customers can create a wish list and then share it with friends and family. Customers could create list on their mobile phone or computer and then send that list to anyone. JCP also has an unique system in some of their stores. The kiosk system is called “FindMore” and it allows customers of any size, store or location to have the entire JCP offering of products. This system would also allow customers to view their friends or families wish lists. This creates an easier shopping system and eliminates the need for guessing size or later returns to make exchanges.

The wish list would also improve on the existing system because it utilizes a multi-system platform. Using a mobile phones camera or the kiosk system built in camera both would be able to scan barcodes and automatically add them to a customers list. Editing could be done updated on any of the platforms and then synced. Additionally, the FindMore kiosk system allows for printing which could then be taken to any JCP Associate who would be able to quickly assist gift purchaser.
